How to write content that will appeal to Google and your audience
Did you know that 93% of us will use a search engine to help us find whatever it is we're looking for online?
With this in mind, it's safe to say that companies very
much rely on the likes of Google to get their brand noticed. While search engines may favour word counts and keywords, audiences are looking for content that's interesting and engaging.
It's important not to favour one over the other. You need Google to recognise your content and put it in front of the right audience and you rely on your readers to click on and read your copy so that search engines know that your website is full of helpful information.
The problem is, how do you appeal to both at the same time?
Find topics that are trending - not only does this allow you to use keywords that people are searching, visitors will keep returning to your site in the knowledge that they can always find the most relevant and up-to-date information from you.
Write great title tags - this is the text that shows up in Google when a user types in a search query. This is your first, and probably only, opportunity to entice people into clicking on your site so you need to know how to draw people in.
